HISTORY
The Bailey Owners' Caravan
Club was formed in 1970 by a small group of enthusiastic owners
and is open to owners of caravans manufactured by Bailey's of Bristol.
FRIENDSHIP & RALLYING
Our
rallies are relaxed affairs, such as one would expect in a friendly
family club catering for all age groups. We run theme and walking
rallies, fun weekends, children's rallies and competition rallies
- such as fishing. Many rallies are quite small at which you quickly
get to know other members.
The Rally Marshal will
welcome you with a cup of tea and information about any events to
be held over the period of the rally. Costs of rallying are modest
with no extras for children, dogs, cars or awnings. Every weekend
can seem like a mini-holiday enjoying the company of fellow caravanners.
A list of Rallies planned for the current year is available by clicking
here.
EVENTS
Year-round rallying is
a feature of the club, with special events arranged to celebrate
Bonfire Night, Christmas (parties), New Year, St. Valentine's Day,
the Club's Birthday at Easter and extended holiday rallies in the
U.K. and Europe.

BENEFITS
As affiliated members
of ACCEO (the Association of Caravanning and Camping Exempted Organisations)
caravan, holiday, breakdown and other insurance facilities and ferry
bookings are offered to club members at very competitive rates.
Rallying away from commercial sites is covered by our DEFRA
Exemption Certificate.
HELPING OTHERS
Over the years, the club
has raised considerable sums for a wide range of charities. In 1999
we raised £8500 for CLIC (Cancer and Leukaemia in Childhood),
in 2001 over £11000 for Birmingham Children's Hospital and
in 2005 over £7100 for Tuberous Sclerosis. The 2007
Charity Rally was in aid of Diabetes UK and raised over £6500.
VISITS TO THE BAILEY
FACTORY
Every two years we visit
the Bailey factory at Bristol where you can gain an insight into
how your caravan is constructed and there is an opportunity to purchase
surplus components.
KEEPING IN TOUCH
The Club newsletter is
published four times a year and sent directly to all members. The
children have their own section in the newsletter and are encouraged
to send in contributions.
